FAQ

What is a will and when does it make sense to have one?

With a will – i.e. a testamentary disposition – the testator has the opportunity to change the statutory succession in order to determine what should happen to the assets after his death. It always makes sense to draw up a will if, in addition to the statutory heirs, one would also like to leave certain assets to other persons – this often concerns a stepchild or a charitable institution, for example.
