For the well-being of the adult person, it may be necessary to appoint a representative for specific matters during the proceedings. This temporary representative is called an interim adult representative. Their appointment serves to protect the affected person until the appointment of the judicial adult representative.
To appoint such an interim representative, an adult protection procedure must be pending, the well-being of the person must require the appointment, and urgent matters must need to be addressed.
The appointment is made for the duration of the proceedings at most, or it ends once the proceedings are concluded.
