FAQ

When is death present?

The question of whether death has occurred is based on brain death. The point in time entered in the register of death (civil registry) is decisive for the right of inheritance.

The declaration of death is to be distinguished from this. This only represents a presumption of the time of death, which can, however, be refuted.
