FAQ

Can I postpone the start of imprisonment?

Under certain circumstances, the enforcement of the sentence can be postponed. This applies, for example, to cases of incapacity to serve the sentence (e.g. illness or injury; pregnancy or childbirth within the last year) or the existence of important personal reasons (e.g. visiting a life-threateningly ill relative; attending the funeral of a relative; settling important family matters).
