FAQ

Can the bailiff open my front door?

Yes, under certain conditions this is possible. Thus, locked doors can be opened if the door:

  • was locked during an enforcement attempt carried out at a company during business hours, or at other obligated parties on weekends or holidays or during nighttime, or
  • will probably be blocked for more than four months or
  • if the person present at the place of enforcement does not open or
  • is locked during the time of enforcement known to the obligor

If the prerequisites are not met and the official act is therefore defective, the action of the bailiff can be contested with an enforcement complaint. The bailiff can also be rejected on the same grounds as the judge.
