FAQ

What is the purpose or function of civil procedure?

The central task of civil proceedings is to settle disputes simply and as inexpensively as possible, which can be achieved either by a court decision or, in the best case, by a court settlement between the parties involved in the dispute. In addition, civil proceedings serve to ensure equality of opportunity in enforcing the law—in particular, to guarantee that financially weaker parties are not disadvantaged.
