What rights does one have as a party?

Individuals who have party status in administrative proceedings have the following rights:

  • Access to files
  • Right tob e heard
  • Rejection of a non-official expert or interpreter
  • Attendance at the oral hearing
  • Announcement or delivery of the decision
  • Appeal rights
  • Assertion of the duty to decide
  • Filing of legal remedies (e.g. request for reopening of proceedings, request for reinstatement)
