In this case, the mother alone is entrusted with custody. If there is an agreement between the parents, the father can also be entrusted with custody. This does not require a court decision, but the determination of the custody takes place before the registrar in person and with simultaneous presence.
If both parents are entrusted with the custody and there is no domestic community, the parents must determine with whom the child should mainly reside—a so-called domicile parent must therefore be determined.
