The aim of an action for performance is, as the name suggests, to oblige the defendant to perform something. This performance can consist of an action (e.g. eviction from a property; claiming a sum of money; handing over an object), but also of tolerating or refraining from a certain action.
It is therefore a matter of enforcing rights. On the one hand, it is to be established that the plaintiff is entitled to a claim at all and, on the other hand, an enforceable order for performance is to be issued, which can be enforced in enforcement proceedings in the event of non-performance.
