FAQ

When does the advance power of attorney end?

The authority to represent ends:

  • with the death of the represented person or the representative
  • by court decision

entry of revocation or termination of the advance power of attorney or cessation of the event into the ÖZVV

A court decision to terminate the advance power of attorney occurs when the representative does not act or acts negligently, or when it is necessary for the welfare of the person being represented. In this case, a judicial adult representative is appointed.
